Born in Glasgow, Wall to Wall CEO Alex Graham has built the company into one of the UK’s leading independent producers. Alex helped create several of Wall to Wall’s hit shows and he is executive producer on several of the company’s leading shows including ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ and ‘New Tricks’.

With a reputation for quality and innovation, Wall to Wall has won almost every award on both sides of the Atlantic including an Oscar, several BAFTA, Emmy, Royal Television Society and Peabody awards. Wall to Wall was recently voted one of the top seven independent producers in the world by Real Screen magazine. In November 2007, Wall to Wall became part of the Shed Media Group of companies. Alex is now one of the largest shareholders in Shed Media and sits on the Board.

Alex sits on the board of the Sheffield International Documentary Festival and is Chair of the Media Literacy Task Force. He is a former chair of the Producers’ Alliance for Cinema and Television and now sits on their Patrons’ Group. He is a fellow of the Royal Television Society, the Royal Society of Arts and a visiting fellow of the University of Bournemouth's Media School.

Jonathan Hewes | Deputy Chief Executive

Jonathan is Deputy Chief Executive and a company director at Wall to Wall. He is involved in the development and production of a wide range of the company’s programming, with particular responsibility for internationally co-financed programming.

He joined Wall To Wall Television in 1995, becoming Head of Factual Programmes in 1997 and Deputy Chief Executive in January 2000. Jonathan started his TV career as a journalist on BBC’s flagship daily show, Nationwide,  before abandoning current affairs for pop TV, as producer of Britain’s most celebrated rock show, The Tube. After two award-winning classical music series with Dudley Moore, he produced a wide range of arts programmes in the 1990s before joining Wall To Wall. Programme awards and nominations include: International Emmy, Gold Medal at New York Film Festival, Post Montreux winner, Royal Television Society Programme awards, Royal Television Society Education Awards.

 

Claire Hungate | Managing Director

Claire Hungate was appointed Commercial and Legal Director at Wall to Wall in May 2004, overseeing the company's legal and commercial operations. This included the exploitation of all IP rights from programme and format sales. Putting together co-production funding and deficit financing and new media opportunites and DVD exploitation.

In September 2008 Claire was made Managing Director expanding her role to encompass overseeing Wall to Wall's business operations.

She is a trained Barrister and has previously worked at the BBC and Princess Productions. Prior to being called to the bar she was Commercial Director at the Institute of Contemporary Art.

Helena Ely | Head of Production

Helena was a Production Manager at Wall To Wall for a number of years before becoming Head of Production.

As well as overseeing all of Wall To Wall's productions, she also oversees the management of the office, post-production, IT and HR departments.

Gavin Rota | Director of Development

Gavin Rota joined Wall To Wall in 1990 as researcher and publicist.

Having subsequently worked across a range of the company’s shows he moved across to run factual development.

He is a member of Wall To Wall’s management team and creative board.

Leanne Klein | Head of Factual

Leanne is responsible for generating and overseeing a wide range of Wall To Wall's factual programming, from contemporary documentary and factual entertainment shows to landmark factual dramas.

Leanne joined Wall To Wall in 1994 to make the award winning 'Baby It’s You'. After a stint freelancing at the BBC and other independents, she rejoined the company as a series producer and by the late 1990s had become a key member of the company’s editorial team. In 1999 she developed and executive produced the first of the hugely popular ‘House’ shows, 'The 1900 House', which won both an RTS and a Peabody Award. Other recent credits include: award winning feature-length docudramas ‘The Day Britain Stopped’ and ‘The Man Who Broke Britain’ for BBC2, and the scarily prescient ‘Oil Storm’ for FX. A range of fully dramatised biographical films (including ‘Agatha Christie: A Life in Pictures' ) and the upcoming 'First Heart Transplant'. Popular format shows 'Your Money or Your Wife' for Channel 4 and high-profile documentaries '100% English' and the longitudinal project 'Child Genius'.

Tom Sherry | Head of Drama

Tom began his career working his way through the AD's, Location and Production Departments on a variety of Feature Films and large TV Dramas. These included In the Name of The Father, Cracker, Sherlock Holmes, Heart, Downtime, Resurrection Man and Far From The Madding Crowd. Then moving up the ladder and onto Line Producing for both Red Production company on Love in the 21st Century and Queer as Folk, and for Tiger Aspect on Fat Friends. His relationship with Red Production company continued, with Tom working as Associate Producer on the second series of Queer as Folk. However, his first full Producer credit was on Tiger Aspect's Murphy's Law. Tom returned to Red to produce two series of Burn It and then joined Wall to Wall to produce New Tricks. Between series of New Tricks he returned again to Red making a one-off drama, Legless for Ch4 and more recently, The Good Housekeeping Guide and Magnolia. Tom has to date Executive Produced on two series of New Tricks and is currently working on developing a slate of fresh drama ideas for Wall to Wall.

Susie Worster | Head of Talent

Susie Worster returned to Wall To Wall Television in August 2007 in the newly created position of Head of Talent. She spent five formative years with the company in the 90s working on a wide range of the company’s output including ‘Big City’, ‘Paleoworld’, & Sophie Grigson’s ‘Taste of the Times’. She left to work as a freelance series producer for companies including Ricochet, Talkback and the BBC on series that include ‘Real Gardens’ and ‘Life Laundry’.

In 2004 she joined Discovery Networks Europe as an executive producer looking after a varied slate of programming that ranged from drama docs and current affairs, to popular factual science and history shows. Her credits with Discovery include ‘Zero Hour’, Discovery’s award winning special on ‘Beslan’, ‘True CSI’, and ‘Finding the Fallen’.

With a brief to develop and maintain relationships with senior off-screen talent, she will build on the company’s record of working with the best freelance producer/directors, series producers and executives in the industry.
