Between 2001 and 2005, Darrell ‘Duck’ Davis recruited a crew of young men to help him take over the drug trade in Rockford, Illinois. The ‘crew’ all came from the south side of Chicago and called themselves the Titanic Stones. Duck and his crew operated a dozen crack and heroin houses from the west side to the east side of Rockford. They sold a pound of heroin and almost the same amount of crack every week, making approximately $5,000 a day. They fought gun battles with rival drug gangs in the open on quiet residential streets. They terrorized the neighbourhoods they inhabited and intimidated witnesses. The local Rockford Sheriffs department knew the Titanic Stones were responsible for the mayhem but were unable to catch them....
