Wall to Wall's two-part special for ITV, Long Lost Family Special - The Mother and Baby Home Scandal, has won the Radio Times Readers’ Award at the Sandford St Martin Awards 2026.
The special shared the emotional stories of women who were sent as unmarried teenagers to Mother and Baby Homes in England as they search for the children taken from them for adoption. In addition to Long Lost Family’s hallmark storytelling, the shows also made headlines on transmission for their campaigning journalism as they identified for the first time that the British Government funded more than 150 such homes across England.
